The human brain, body, and mind have an amazing ability to heal themselves, and Brainspotting honors and celebrates that ability by providing access to trauma through one’s neurological and relational system.
Brainspotting was discovered by David Grand, PhD and is based on the premise that "where you look affects how you feel." Brainspotting locates points in the client’s visual field to gain access to the unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain.
Brainspotting is effective for people who struggle with trauma/PTSD, relationship and attachment issues, grief and loss, fears and phobias, performance anxiety and blocks to creativity, anger, addictions, sexual trauma/abuse, negative self beliefs, depression, and chronic pain.
